About

Nice to meet you —
I'm Sarah.

I'm a versatile creative professional with a proven track record in content creation and art direction.

As a former Head of Content, I led the development of multiple print and online publications which grew to become leaders in their fields – but for me, it was never about the numbers.

"My joy has always been in the experience: developing engaging content strategies and crafting compelling narratives, collaborating with talent, and ultimately, meeting people and telling their stories."

I also relish in the visual side of things: channeling my art background and love of fashion into coordinating publication design and visual content, including styling and overseeing photoshoots.

In 2021, I took some big swings. After dedicating myself to publishing full-time for 10 years, it was time for a change.

I married my wonderful husband Rik (for whom I have the industry to thank for meeting), moved to Gozo and left my nine-to-five behind, shifting focus to growing my creative business and opening myself up to new endeavours, working remotely and in my own time, on projects I love.

Since 2021, I've —
01
Had the pleasure of continuing my professional relationship with the team at Content House, writing for print and online, as well as editing publications I'm proud of, like BusinessNow. You can see some of my recent work here.
02
Helped individual clients with freelance writing projects including articles and website copy, as well as blog and social media posts.
03
Co-authored an upcoming book featuring a selection of curated authentic experiences in Malta and Gozo for an international publishing house.
04
Had the opportunity to work on the artistic direction, model casting and styling for several campaign shoots for great brands like Sigma, Lottoland, Vivo, Palazzo Parisio and Mavenry. Here's a few I love.
05
Grown The Secret Rose from side hustle into a fully fledged creative business, with dozens of happy clients for custom work every month.
06
Developed prêt-à-porter ranges of embroidered jewellery, gifts and homeware items which are sold online and in beautiful local shop, Hollywood Valletta.
07
Collaborated with local artisans and leading couturier Luke Azzopardi on bespoke embroidery projects.
08
Delivered several embroidery workshops in Malta and Gozo.

And I genuinely feel like it's just the beginning!

My favourite thing is hearing from like-minded people who have a vision they'd like to turn into reality. If that sounds like you, get in touch – let's dream and do together.
