A hospitality copywriter for Malta and the Mediterranean
I spent fifteen years in publishing. I started as a fashion editor at a local lifestyle title while still at university and worked up to Head of Content at Content House, Malta's largest publishing house. Along the way I ran several of its print and online magazines, and I still write and edit for BusinessNow, where I interview Malta's leading businesspeople.
Today I write copy for restaurants, hotels and travel businesses. Plenty of people can string sentences together, and now software can too. What is harder to find is the editorial judgement to know which sentence to cut and which quote belongs on the cover. I edited the publications Maltese business readers trust, and I hold hospitality copy to that same standard.

What I write for hospitality brands
From the home page to the room descriptions, I write copy that captures how a property actually feels. Independent Mediterranean hotels need words that sound like the place and the people who run it, not a template filled with industry buzzwords.
Menus, chef's notes, and the story behind the food. A menu should read as carefully as it is plated.
The history of the property, the people who run it, the region it sits in. I shape these into something guests read before they arrive.
I co-authored a book of curated experiences in Malta and Gozo for an international publisher, and my food and lifestyle writing for BusinessNow keeps me covering the region.
Why a former editor, not a content mill
When you commission a website or a brochure, you need more than words on a page. You need someone who can read a draft and see what is missing. I spent years editing magazines people wanted to read, which taught me how to structure a feature and how to pace a sentence. It also taught me how to spot the phrasing that makes a luxury property sound cheap. Software can produce copy now. The judgement about what to keep and what to throw away is the part that still takes a person.
The Mediterranean and Malta specialism
I am based in Gozo. I work with independent properties around the Mediterranean that want English copy with a European sensibility, and I know how a seaside town changes between July and November. That kind of detail is what separates a real place from a city chain running the same brochure everywhere.
Let's talk about your property
